چکیده

Introduction The combined use of cardiac computed tomography coronary angiography (CTCA) and myocardial perfusion imaging allows the non-invasive evaluation of coronary morphology and function. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) has several advantages: it can simultaneous assess myocardial perfusion, ventricular and valvular function, cardiomyopathy and aortic disease and does not involve any ionizing radiation.

Noninvasive Imaging for the Assessment of Coronary Artery Disease

Noninvasive cardiac imaging is a cornerstone of the diagnostic work-up in patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD), cardiomyopathy, heart failure, and congenital heart disease. It is essential for the assessment of CAD from functional and anatomical perspectives, and is considered the gate-keeper to invasive coronary angiography. Cardiac tests include exercise electrocardiography, ...

ECG-gated multidetector-row computed tomography in the assessment of left ventricular function

An accurate quantitative and qualitative assessment of cardiac function is critical for clinical diagnosis, risk stratification, management and prognosis in patients with suspected or documented heart disease. Magnetic resonance, owing to its excellent temporal and spatial resolution, is currently considered a reference standard in the assessment of cardiac function. Multidetector-row computed ...
